The flight recorders recovered from the crashed aircraft carrying Macedonia's president were reportedly old and malfunctioning.

The head of Bosnia's investigative team has stated that the flight data and cockpit voice recorders have provided little information so far. The contents of the recorders has been analysed in Germany, however the usual method failed to offer enough data to determine why the aircraft crashed on 26 February in heavy fog in southern Bosnia. Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski died in the crash along with six of his aides and the two pilots.

Investigators are hoping to collect enough evidence to reconstruct the last minutes of the flight and determine the cause of the crash. It has already been established that the aircraft was flying too low, reported The Associated Press.
