Boeing Co selects Goodrich Corp to provide fuel system for new aircraft

The Boeing Company has reportedly selected Goodrich Corporation to provide the Fuel Quantity Indicating System and Fuel Management Software for its new Boeing 7E7 Dreamliner aircraft.

The Fuel Quantity Indicating System is designed to measure the fuel quantity in aircraft fuel tanks, while the Fuel Management Software controls the refuel process and manages the fuel supply during flight.

The systems will be designed and manufactured by Goodrich's Fuel & Utility Systems business, based in Vergennes, Vermont. The potential revenue to Goodrich over the life of the programme is estimated to be USD100m.
