Snow across Midwestern US causes flight delays and cancellations

More than 100 flights were cancelled on Tuesday and Wednesday (16-17 March) after a snowstorm swept across the Midwestern US.

Snow accumulations of up to 38 centimetres were reported in parts of southern and western New York, while 25 centimetres and 18 centimetres were recorded in northeastern Ohio and Boston, respectively.

The weather conditions delayed flights at New Jersey's Newark Liberty International Airport by up to 90 minutes, and more than 100 flights were cancelled.

Flight were also cancelled or delayed by up to 90 minutes at Boston's Logan International Airport.
