Swedish low-cost airline FlyMe, owned by the Swedish investment company Array AB, said on Thursday (18 March) that it had signed a contract to sell flight capacity to an unnamed charter company.

Under the contract, the charter operator would acquire flights from FlyMe for SEK8.5m during the period June-August 2004.

FlyMe said that its main business area would still be regular flights on the routes Gothenburg-Stockholm, Stockholm-Malmo and Stockholm-Helsinki, which the company started at the beginning of March 2004.

FlyMe reported on 17 March that its passenger load factor had increased from 39% in the first week of operations to 44% in the second week of operations, both exceeding the company's expectations.
