Rolls-Royce to provide engines for Republic Airways' new Embraer aircraft

Aerospace engineering group Rolls-Royce is to provide new AE 3007 engines for Republic Airways' new Embraer regional jet aircraft.

The airline has ordered 16 ERJ 145 aircraft, which are scheduled to be delivered from May 2004 through to September 2005. The aircraft order was valued at USD320m, and includes options for a further 34 Embraer aircraft.

The Rolls-Royce engines will be covered by the airline's existing TotalCare maintenance agreement with the company.
