US Treasury Department orders airlines' records with ATSB

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
US Treasury Department investigators have subpoenaed airlines for records related to their dealings with the Air Transportation Stabilization Board (ATSB), which oversees loan guarantees.
United Airlines, US Airways and America West Holdings have all confirmed that they have received orders from the agency's inspector general, Jeffrey Rush, Jr., to turn over documents and other information.
A spokesperson for the Treasury Department has said that five airlines received subpoenas on 12 March 2004, reported Reuters.
