The last retired British Airways Concorde is to make its final journey to be housed at the Museum of Flight in Scotland.

The aircraft will travel by sea to its destination at East Fortune in East Lothian. The Concorde G-BOAA is currently being partially dismantled at London's Heathrow Airport before making the journey north, at first by road and then up the east coast on the Terra Marque transporter vessel.

Transit specialists, engineers, museum staff, police, councils and the army will all assist in transporting the aircraft.

The aircraft - which last flew in August 2000 from JFK Airport in New York to Heathrow - will then be restored, and is expected to be on show at the museum by the end of the summer.
