Spirit Airlines places aircraft order with Airbus

Spirit Airlines has reportedly placed an order with European aircraft manufacturer Airbus for up to 65 aircraft.
The South Florida-based airline has signed a firm order for 11 Airbus A319 aircraft and four larger A321 aircraft. The order also includes options for 50 further aircraft. The aircraft order is part of the carrier's plans to double in size over the next five years.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, Airbus has outlined plans to triple its Japanese market share, reported Reuters.
