SAS adjusts prices due to higher fuel costs

Scandinavian airline SAS said on Friday (14 May) that it was adjusting its prices due to increased aviation fuel costs.

The adjustment would involve a fare increase per leg of some EUR4 on domestic routes and some EUR6 on European routes. Fares would also be raised on intercontinental routes.

In Spain, SAS' subsidiary Spanair had increased its prices by 3-6%, while SAS Braathens, Wideroe and Blue1 would also raise their prices by 3-6%.

The fare increases would be introduced not later than 1 June 2004, according to the company.
