United Airlines' parent company, UAL Corp, has asked a bankruptcy court judge to extend USD1bn in special bankruptcy financing.
The company is seeking to have the special bankruptcy financing extended from mid-year to the end of the year. The extension is expected to provide the company with enough funds to operate until its plan of reorganisation is approved.
The amendment did not indicate a change in the company's planned exit from bankruptcy this summer, reported Reuters.
