The Norwegian low-price airline Norwegian Air Shuttle (Norwegian) reportedly said on Friday (14 May) that it would increase its airfares due to higher aviation fuel prices.

"We are following suit," Norwegian spokeswoman Anne Grete Ellingsen said, referring to the price increase of 6% by rival Scandinavian airline SAS, and added that the company was also aiming for an increase of up to 6%.

The price rise would probably happen in the next few days, reported Reuters.
