New Zealand and China have reportedly formed an air services agreement, affecting both commercial and cargo operations.

The agreement removes restrictions on air travel between the two countries. Airlines from both countries can now fly between any airport in either country. Prior to the agreement, only two airports in each country were approved.

The deal has also removed restrictions on the type of aircraft that can be used for passenger services and the number of airlines that can operate flights between the two countries.
