The departure of a Continental Express flight was delayed yesterday (26 May) after three men were heard to be praying and discussing the 11 September 2001 terrorist attacks.

The aircraft had been heading towards the runway at Buffalo-Niagara International Airport when the men - two ministers from Toronto and a US man - began their suspicious behaviour, prompting the pilot to return to the gate. Members of the joint terrorism task force removed the men for interviewing.

The men claimed that they prayed that God would bless the aircraft. FBI officials believe the men did not pose a threat to the aircraft.

The flight eventually departed, later than scheduled.
