Cargo aircraft tips onto tail at Los Angeles airport

A cargo aircraft at Los Angeles International Airport became unbalanced and tipped onto its rear whilst being unloaded yesterday (27 May).

The incident left seven workers stranded about 40 feet above the ground for about an hour. The workers were rescued by firefighters using a ladder truck, and none of the workers were injured in the incident.

The World Airways MD-11 aircraft may need to be righted by a crane, reported The Associated Press.
