Finnair to reintroduce free hot meals on flights

Airline Industry Information, May 6, 2004

Finnair is reportedly bringing back free hot meals on all of its major routes due to passenger demand.

The airline last year introduced cold meals on flights to some destinations after being hit by a downturn in air travel after the SARS epidemic and the Iraq war. However, Finnair is now aiming to produce Europe's best in-flight meal service by 2005.

As well as meeting customer requests, the new meals are expected to attract new customers, reported The Associated Press.
