A Vintage World War II-era B-17 bomber made a belly landing at a municipal airport in the US after its landing gear collapsed.
The four-propeller aircraft landed at Van Nuys Airport, California yesterday (5 May) on its main runway. The aircraft - owned by Experimental Aircraft Association - was damaged in the landing, however there were no reports of injury among the six people on board.
The main runway at the airport was temporarily blocked until the aircraft could be removed, but a shorter one was still available, reported The Associated Press.
