British Airways encountered problems with its computers on Tuesday morning (4 May) due to the Sasser worm.

The airline lost the use of around half of its check-in desk computers at Heathrow Airport's Terminal Four. The computer outage caused delays to 21 of the carrier's flights and disruption for thousands of travellers.

The worm exploits a flaw in Microsoft software, gaining access via the Internet.
