The Norwegian Accident Investigation Board (AIB) has expressed concern over the number of incidents in which fighter jets have come in close proximity to passenger aircraft.

The 'near misses' have been close enough to trigger the collision systems of the commercial aircraft involved, and there were three such incidents in the month of November, 2003.

The AIB has asked the air force to teach its fighter pilots better manners, reports the Norwegian newspaper Adresseavisen.
