Skywest Airlines signs new engine maintenance deal with Standard Aero

Skywest Airlines has announced that it has signed a long-term engine maintenance deal with aviation maintenance firm Standard Aero for all its CF34-8 engines.

The engines are for use on Skywest's new fleet of CRJ-700 regional jet aircraft. Standard Aero is an authorised service provider for CF34 engines with certification from the engine's manufacturer GE Engine Services. The 16-year deal between Skywest and Standard Aero will cover all heavy maintenance work on the CF34-8 engines.

A spokesperson for Skywest said that the airline had enjoyed a long-term relationship with Standard Aero and was pleased to have added another engine to its partnership with the company.
