China Airlines to offer in-flight Internet service

Taiwan's China Airlines is set to offer on-board Internet services to its passengers, using Connexion by Boeing technology on its Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
The airline said that the service will be offered on flights to Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Anchorage in the US along with flights to Vancouver in Canada from June 2005 with the service being extended to other flights later.
The Connexion by Boeing service has already been installed on Lufthansa aircraft and Japan Airlines and Singapore Airlines will offer the service from December 2004. Japan's All Nippon Airways has started offering the service on its flights to Shanghai, reports The Associated Press.
