Japan's All Nippon Airways (ANA) has taken delivery of its first Boeing 777-300ER, becoming the first airline in Asia to operate the Connexion by Boeing on-board Internet service.

The new Internet service will be launched along with the new Boeing 777-300ER on 15 November 2004 on the airline's latest service from Tokyo, Japan to Beijing, China. ANA is a 777-300ER launch partner and a spokesperson for the airline said that the new aircraft will provide its passengers with the best in comfort, reliability and safety on its long-haul routes.

ANA is set to equip its entire 777 fleet with the Connexion by Boeing Internet system in a move the airline claims will satisfy passenger demand for real-time mobile connectivity.
