Indonesia's Adam Air to double Boeing fleet

Indonesian low-cost carrier PT Adam SkyConnection Airlines, known as Adam Air, has announced that it is to double its Boeing 737 aircraft fleet to six by the end of 2004.
Adam Air said that it expects to increase its fleet further still in 2005 with the aim of operating 12 aircraft by the end of the year as it looks to expand service to include Singapore and Australia. Currently the airline runs services to eight cities in Indonesia along with flights to Penang in Malaysia.
A spokesperson for the airline said that although the domestic market was huge it was looking to start flights to Perth, Australia and Singapore along with gathering a share of the tourist traffic to Bali, reports Bloomberg.
