Two aircraft collide on ground at UK airport

Two aircraft collided as they prepared for takeoff at Manchester International Airport, UK on 4 November 2004 according to airport officials.
The tail of a Boeing 737 carrying 79 passengers clipped the wing of an Excel Airways Boeing 767 carrying 255 passengers as they both taxied to the runway for takeoff. A spokesperson for the airport said that no serious injuries were reported after the incident.
Passengers were evacuated from both aircraft and the Air Accident Investigation Branch is now investigating how the collision happened. No other flights at the airport were disrupted, reports The Associated Press.
