Flight attendants at Frontier Airlines have started a campaign to gather support for a possible union with the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA-CWA).

A spokesperson for the AFA-CWA Organising Committee said that in such a volatile airline industry employees need a union to secure a binding contract that will guarantee them job security, benefits and a voice within the airline. A meeting has been held in Denver where Frontier Airlines is based to map out a course that would lead to a link-up between the carrier's flight attendants and the AFA-CWA.

The AFA-CWA claims that Frontier Airlines has changed working conditions and rules over the past 12 months and that has made it harder for flight attendants to do their jobs. Frontier Airlines employees some 800 flight attendants.
