America West Airlines extends marketing alliance with Royal Jordanian

Low-cost US carrier America West Airlines and the full service carrier Royal Jordanian have agreed to extend their joint marketing agreement.

The expansion means that America West can now place its flight code on Royal Jordanian flights from New York's JFK airport to Amman in Jordan. The new codesharing arrangement came into effect on 8 November 2004 making America West the only US carrier to market a direct flight between the US and Jordan.

America West said that the new agreement will mean that passengers from West Coast cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas will be able to fly to Jordan with only one stop.
