Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier has announced a new deal with Air New Zealand for 17 Bombardier Q300 turboprop aircraft valued at USD269.5m.
The deal could increase to USD716m if Air New Zealand activates all of the options included in the agreement which cover an additional 10 Q300 aircraft and 13 bigger Q400 aircraft. The new aircraft will be operated by Air New Zealand's regional subsidiary Air Nelson.
A spokesperson for Bombardier said that the deal further secures the company's presence in the Asia-Pacific region and the endorsement of Air New Zealand confirms the quality of Bombardier aircraft, reports The Canadian Press.
