Aircraft manufacturer Boeing has said that South Korea's two airlines are interested in buying its new 7E7 aircraft but nothing has yet been confirmed.

The US company's vice president Craig A. Saddler, who is leading the business side of the 7E7 project, said that Boeing could not yet confirm contracts for the aircraft with either Korean Air or Asiana Airline.

Speaking at a global sales pitch for the new aircraft Saddler said that the 7E7 would represent good business for Korean airlines due to its improved fuel efficiency and low operation costs.

Boeing also said that it has not yet started any partnership negotiations regarding the 7E7 with local suppliers in Korea, reports The Korea Times.
