Norwegian Air Shuttle reports 42% rise in September passenger numbers

Norwegian low-price airline Norwegian Air Shuttle (Norwegian) said on Tuesday (12 October) that it transported a total of 184,043 passengers in September 2004, an increase of 42% as compared to 129,298 passengers in September 2003.
The total passenger traffic (RPK) increased by 84% to 141m, while passenger load factor decreased by one percentage point to 63%.
The domestic passenger load factor decreased from 64% to 57%, while the international passenger load factor increased from 67% to 70%.
Norwegian estimated a yield of some NOK0.80 per RPK in September 2004.
