Pinnacle Airlines aircraft involved in accident

Regional US carrier Pinnacle Airlines has announced that one of its aircraft on a repositioning flight has been involved in an accident near Jefferson City, Missouri.
The airline, which operates under the name Northwest Airlink and flies to destinations in the US and Canada, said that the accident took place at around 2230 central time on Thursday (14 October) and that no passengers were aboard the Canadair Regional Jet aircraft.
In a statement to the press the airline said that its own emergency team was en route to the incident and that it had no news on the status of the captain or first officer involved.
