Singapore Airlines announces drop in year-on-year load factor

Singapore Airlines has announced that its September 2004 passenger and cargo load factor increased by 0.2 percentage points over August 2004, from 67.4% to 67.6%.
Overall the airline's load factor was down 4.1 percentage points from 71.7% in the same period 12 months ago. Singapore Airlines remains the world's second most valuable carrier.
The airline is still recovering after a traumatic 2003 when services were hit by the Iraq war and the SARS outbreak in Asia.
