Swedish passenger aircraft makes emergency landing

A Skyways turboprop aircraft carrying 51 passengers was forced to make an emergency landing in Sweden after the pilots reported a crack in the cockpit window.
The Fokker 50 aircraft, travelling from Kristianstad to Stockholm, made an emergency landing at Stockholm's Arlanda airport on Monday morning (18 October) after the pilots informed air traffic control that the crack had got bigger during the flight.
A spokesperson for the airport said that emergency crews were dispatched to the runway but were not required and no one was injured. The cause of the crack is unknown, reports The Associated Press.
