The FBI is investigating damage to three US Airways jets, two of which were apparently damaged at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.
A spokesperson for the FBI said that it is pursuing the case aggressively as people's lives may be put at risk. The FBI has refused to comment on the damage to the aircraft and what may have caused it but a spokesman ruled out claims that firearms were the cause of damage to the tail of a US Airways aircraft at Florida's Orlando International Airport.
US Airways reassured passengers that the latest damage in Charlotte would not have affected the aircraft's flight and that it was picked up in the pre-flight checks that all its aircraft go through. The FBI said that it was convinced that the damage was deliberately caused and that it would be interviewing everyone involved with the aircraft, reports News14Carolina.
