Iraqi Airways employees attacked on their way to Baghdad airport

A bus carrying female employees of Iraqi Airways to work at Baghdad airport was attacked by gunmen on Thursday morning (21 October), killing one and injuring 14 others.
The attack occurred on the main road to the airport as the women were travelling to work. The route has been described as extremely dangerous by the US State Department.
On 20 October an American military convoy was attacked along the same route, injuring two Americans and two Iraqis, reports The Associated Press.
