Mesa Air Group, which operates US Airways Express services in the Midwest and East of the United States, has announced a salary reduction for its senior management.

The company's senior management will reduce their salaries by 23%, adjusted proportionately for its US Airways codeshare revenues, and credit the savings to US Airways in support of its restructuring efforts.

In addition Mesa will offer a voluntary deferral of up to 23% of salaries to its US Airways Express employees, with all deferrals to be credited to US Airways and repaid upon the airline's emergence from bankruptcy.

At such time a bonus equal to 20% of their deferral would also be paid to participating employees.
