A Brazilian man was arrested at Damascus International Airport in Syria on Saturday (2 October) for allegedly smuggling cocaine.

The man, who had arrived at the airport on a flight from Amsterdam in the Netherlands, was said to be carrying 6.4 kilograms of cocaine which was packed in six bags and hidden in his suitcase.
