AirTran Airways looking to expand further in Dallas

Low-cost carrier AirTran Airways may be set to step into the hole at Dallas/Fort Worth airport left by Delta Air Lines' service reduction.

The Florida-based airline has announced that it will offer nonstop flights from Dallas/Fort Worth to seven cities by the end of 2004 including Tampa, Florida.

AirTran Airways has rapidly expanded at Dallas/Fort Worth over the last 12 months, adding services to Las Vegas and Los Angeles among other destinations, reports the Star Telegram.
