AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Singapore Airlines' regional subsidiary Silkair is to start services to Danang, Vietnam on 3 January 2005. The three times a week service will fly from Singapore via Siem Reap to Danang every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday using an Airbus A320 aircraft.

Airtran Airways has launched a fare sale to all its destinations with tickets priced from USD39 each way. Fares must be purchased through either www.airtran.com or the airline's reservation system. The sale will end on 8 October 2004 with fares valid for travel until 2 February 2005.

Canadian low-cost carrier CanJet is to double its weekly service between Toronto and New York from 31 October 2004. The flights between Toronto's Pearson International Airport and New York's LaGuardia Airport have been increased due to customer demand, said a spokesperson for the airline. Flights are available on the new service from CAD69 one way.
