Low-cost US carrier Frontier Airlines has announced that it is to extend its services to Mexico by launching a flight to Cancun from Nashville, Tennessee in November 2004.
The service will start with one flight a week increasing to three times a week from 6 December 2004 until 8 January 2005. Fifty seats on each flight have already been sold to Atlanta-based travel company Vacation Express which will halt its charter flights to Cancun from Nashville in December 2004.
A spokesperson for Frontier Airlines said that there are currently no non-stop scheduled flights to Cancun from Nashville and that the airline sees the route as a good opportunity to strengthen its network of flights to Cancun, reports The Denver Post.
