ATA Airlines renews US military charter contract

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
US-based ATA Airlines has renewed its contract to provide charter service with the US Air Force Air Mobility Command for the fiscal year 2005.
The new contract begins on 1 October 2004 and will see ATA Airlines provide passenger charter services valued at USD51m. The deal will also give ATA the opportunity to fly expansion charters worth USD200m.
The airline has provided charter services for the US military for over 20 years. In the first six months of 2004 military charters provided ATA Airlines with USD141m in revenue.
