America West Airlines' dispatchers ratify new four-year contract

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
America West Airlines' dispatch workers represented by the Transport Workers Union (TWU) have ratified a new four-year contract.
No information about the new contract is being revealed but both parties are satisfied with the outcome. A spokesperson for America West Airlines said that it was extremely pleased to have reached an agreement and praised the efforts of the negotiating committee.
The TWU said that its members understood that, thanks to the efforts of both the TWU and America West negotiators along with the National Mediation Board, the deal was the best obtainable at the present time.
