Ukrainian security officials searched a Moscow-bound flight after three passengers decided to leave the aircraft shortly before take-off on 14 September 2004.

The flight was delayed for six hours at Kiev airport after the three men described as of Caucasian origin said that they were not happy with their seats and demanded to exit the aircraft.

The aircraft was searched twice by the police and the men were questioned before the flight was allowed to leave. A Ukrainian government official said that the action was part of normal anti-terrorist procedures, reported The Associated Press.
