Nepal and South Korea sign new air services agreement

Nepal and South Korea have signed a new air services agreement which will provide a direct air link between the two countries.

Both countries will have multi-designation privileges along with four passenger and three cargo flights per week. The agreement was signed by Lava Kumar Devkota, secretary at the Nepali Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, and South Korea's Ambassador to Nepal Park Sang-hoon.

A spokesperson for the Nepalese government said that the new deal would be helpful in increasing trade between the two nations. The new direct link is expected to appeal to the 5,000 Nepalese who work in South Korea, reports The Associated Press.
