Bankrupt carrier US Airways has reached a tentative deal with its flight crew training instructors on a new contract which will help cut the airline's costs.

The Transport Workers Union which represents the 65 employees said that details of the agreement will not be released until it has informed its members. A spokesperson for the union said that although the deal was hard to swallow it recognized the importance of helping US Airways restructure.

US Airways is looking to get USD800m in concessions from its unions. It has asked the bankruptcy court to impose a temporary pay cut on workers while negotiations on a new concessions deal continue, reports The Associated Press.
