AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Belgium's Charleroi Airport saw 196,226 passengers pass through its doors in August 2004 making it the airport's busiest month ever. A spokesperson for the airport said that the 12% increase in passenger numbers over August 2003 shows how important a role the airport plays at national and international level.
Denmark-based low-cost carrier Sterling has announced that it is to begin services between Copenhagen and Budapest in February 2005. The airline said that indirect flights from Gothenburg, Oslo and Stockholm to Budapest will also come into service during the course of 2005. Sterling will become the fourth low-cost airline to fly from Scandinavia to the Hungarian capital, reports Central Europe Business News.
