Airbus CEO Noel Forgeard has confirmed that the European aircraft manufacturer is considering building a rival to Boeing's 7E7 Dreamliner aircraft set for launch in 2008.
Forgeard said that Airbus was looking into the market and discussing plans with various clients. He also claimed that the proposed Airbus A350 would be bigger than Boeing's 7E7 with a capacity of around 270 passengers.
The new Airbus aircraft would be built using technology developed for the manufacturer's A380 superjumbo which can carry 550 passengers, reports Reuters.
