Boeing begins work on world's longest range aircraft

Boeing mechanics have begun construction of the first Boeing 777-200LR aircraft which will reportedly be able to fly further than any other commercial passenger aircraft.

Boeing claims that the 777-200LR will be able to fly 301 passengers 9,420 nautical miles and will be capable of serving such routes as London-Sydney and New York to Singapore non-stop with a full passenger load.

A spokesperson for the US-based aircraft manufacturer said that the aircraft would be able to offer airlines the ability to fly non-stop to almost anywhere in the world.
