ATA backs new Los Angeles airport modernisation plan

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
A modernisation plan for Los Angeles International Airport has been given backing by the Air Transport Association (ATA) which represents airline companies.
The plan calls for key elements in a master plan to move forward including the realignment of the South Airfield to improve runway safety and improvements to the Tom Bradley International Terminal.
ATA's president and CEO James C. May said that he was delighted to be able to give the plan the backing of the association and to share in the objectives of a safer and more secure Los Angeles airport while providing a high standard of customer service.
