Delta Air Lines has announced a 10% pay cut which will apply to senior officials and administrative staff along with all ticket and gate agents.

In a memo to employees Delta Air Lines' CEO Gerald Grinstein said that the airline will also increase the shared cost of health cover and make changes to its retirement benefits as part of its restructuring plan.

Grinstein himself has declined to take his six-figure salary for the rest of 2004 in an effort to show solidarity with the airline's employees and the sacrifices they are being forced to make, reports The Associated Press.
