French Transport Minister Gilles de Robien has outlined the French government's plans to privatise regional airports and open Paris' two main airports to private investment.

The plans will see Aeroports de Paris, the state-owned company that runs the two Parisian airports, go public with the government keeping a majority stake. Ten major regional airports have been earmarked to go totally private under the plan.

The minister said that the partial privatisation of Aeroports de Paris would take place in March 2005 despite the collapse of a roof at Charles de Gaulle airport in May 2004, reports The Associated Press.
