Singapore-based Valuair Ltd will become the first budget airline to fly to interior Chinese provinces, the South China Morning Post reported Monday (11 April).
In two weeks, the carrier plans to begin service to Chengdu, south-western China and then to add flights to the southern Chinese cities of Xiamen, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, reported the newspaper.
Valuair chairman was quoted as saying he plans to charge only about 10% less than competitors on the China routes because the carrier did not want to disturb the market and the authorities.
